JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A Jackson County officer found 17 pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop.
An officer was patrolling I-65 when he stopped a 2007 Chrysler 300 near the 55 mile marker for a traffic violation. While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment.
A K9 officer detected the drugs and found 26 packaged of marijuana hidden in two back doors.
The officer arrested 22-year-old Loniquel Trachelle Hoskins of Houston, TX on scene. She was transported to the Jackson County jail and is facing charges of dealing marijuana.
