EDINBURGH (WISH) - Three people were arrested Tuesday in connection to an armed robbery in Edinburgh earlier this month.

Early Tuesday morning, detectives from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office and the Edinburgh Police Department arrested Christina Dawn Ricks, 30, of Columbus, and William Ricks “Shorty Mack”, 39, of Columbus, on bench warrants. Devin James Menser, 22, of Columbus, was also arrested from a bench warrant at the Bartholomew County Jail where he was being held on earlier charges.

The three were arrested after they allegedly robbed Bonkerz Sunoco in Edinburgh on Jan. 19.

Charges include, one count of armed robbery, a class B felony, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, a class B felony, and three counts criminal gang activity, a class D felony.

The Ricks are being held in the Shelby County Jail with no bond. Devin Menser is being held at the Bartholomew County Jail on a Shelby County hold.

The Columbus Police Department and Indiana State Police assisted in the arrests.

According to a press release, officers visited more than 50 locations in four counties searching for the Ricks’ who moved from their home after initial police contact.

Nearly 48 hours after the robbery, a Bartholomew County deputy saw a vehicle matching the description provided by an Edinburgh dispatch. The deputy was able to get registration information, which led to the ultimate seizure of the vehicle used in the crime and the evidence collected within.

Search warrants, surveillance, and the detective’s continuing investigation provided the remaining information.
