PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Four people were arrested Tuesday in connection with the suspected arson of a Plainfield historical home.
Plainfield Police, Fire and the State Fire Marshall’s office arrested Andrew Arthur, 21, Andrew Taylor, 20, Daniel Schutte, 20, and Jessica Allen, 20 for their alleged roles in the July 5th fire at the Horace Reeve House.
Police say a tip led them to the arrest of the Marion County residents.
Firefighters though the fire was suspicious as soon as they arrived on scene.
"No electricity to the house, so it is a suspicious fire of origin," said Decatur Twp. Fire Department Chief Dale Henson.
Owned by the Indianapolis Airport Authority, the house was for sale for just one dollar.
