INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Five Indianapolis-area men are facing federal child porn charges.

The US Attorney's office says the arrests are part of a continued, focused effort to crack down on people who have, or distribute, child porn.

While the crackdown has resulted in arrests around the world, federal officials say these arrests are an effort to target local people involved in child pornography.

"For those who continue to trade and collect child porn, the message is loud and clear. You are not anonymous when you are online. There is no place to run, there is no place to hide and your days of freedom are numbered," US Attorney Joseph Hogsett says.

Hogsett says many of the men charged were found with new technology created in conjunction with Purdue University.
