SULLIVAN CO., Ind. (WTHI) - Six people were arrested Friday night in a meth lab bust in Sullivan County.

Shortly before midnight, Sullivan Co. Sheriff's Deputy Melchert drove by a residence on County Road 750, which is northwest of State Road 63.  During his initial pass, the deputy noticed a strong chemical odor emanating from somewhere within the residence.

According to a release from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the deputy identified the odor as sharing a common fragrance with methamphetamine.  The release also stated that the residence was known to have drug activity occur at the home in the past.

The SCSD then contacted the Sullivan Co. Prosecutor and obtained a telephone search warrant.

With the assistance of the Indiana State Police, the warrant was served around midnight.  Law enforcement discovered a meth lab within the garage of the residence, along with 6 people inside.

Police arrested:

  •     William Grimes, 28, of Meron, Ind.,
  •     Ryan Coulson, 30, of Sullivan, Ind.,
  •     William Bailey (his age was not released) of Prairie Creek
  •     Mike Jones, 50, Sherry Parsons, 37, Rico Ugoletti, 50, all of Fairbanks, Ind.

All have been arrested on charges of Manufacturing Meth; however, there is the possibility of more charges to follow.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
