HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Officers with Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement recovered seven taped kilogram packages of suspected cocaine Thursday following a traffic stop.

Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (PACE) is a multi-jurisdiction, law enforcement task force consisting of members from the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Greenfield Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff's Office and Richmond Police Department.

A PACE Team officer and sergeant with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on eastbound I-70 in Henry County near the 131 mile marker.

Criminal indicators like the smell of marijuana were observed during the stop, officers say.

During a probable cause search, officers found seven taped kilogram packages of suspected cocaine in a hidden compartment.

The driver was taken into custody without incident.

Stephen L. Allen, 26, was arrested and faces a preliminary charge of dealing in cocaine, a Class A felony.

Officers say the seized drugs have a street value of approximately $175,000.
