HENRY COUNTY, Ind. - A Butler University police officer has been arrested for battery and interfering with a 911 call.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office said Sgt. Alan Criswell and his ex-girlfriend got into a fight early Saturday morning at her apartment. She told officers Criswell stole her dog.

Police said Criswell pinned the woman against a wall, causing several red marks on her chest.

Authorities said Criswell also took her cell phone away when she tried to call police.

Butler police placed Criswell on administrative duties while they conduct an internal investigation.
