FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are looking for who’s responsible for putting lewd pictures in the windows of the Pine Hills Church and Learning Center day care over the weekend.
"Several photographs, explicit in nature, nude photographs, were taped to the windows of the day care center so the photographs were facing inward toward the classes," Fort Wayne Police Department Spokesman Michael Joyner said.
The police report said the day care director thinks the pictures were put up sometime "Saturday night and maybe during the day on Sunday."
She told police she found pictures taped to the outside of windows facing in and on the windows of a school bus in the parking lot.
The report also stated there were six drawings with "various pictures of genitals and vulgar language and two photocopied pornographic photos."
Day care operator Nelson Eagle declined an interview, but said some church-goers saw the images on Sunday. A woman in the church office said most of the pictures were on the day care side.
"We have procedures in place to protect children at all times," Eagle said.
Eagle added the pictures were all taken down before children arrived at the day care on Monday morning and no children saw them.
Pine Hills Church Pastor Mike Drury also declined an interview but issued this statement: "The Church concurs whole-heartedly with the statements already given by the Learning Place."
Now police have the pictures as evidence.
"I would suspect these are kids and I would suspect they have talked and someone knows who is responsible," Joyner said.
Anyone with information about the vandalism should call Fort Wayne police.
