INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro police said they have arrested at least two people in a drug sweep on the north side. Police said one of the arrested is former drag racing champion Jeffrey O'Neill.

Authorities said for the past week they've been investigating drug activity at the McDonald's, which is inside a BP a gas station located at 38th and North Illinois.

The restaurant manager told police drugs were being sold -- possibly heroine and cocaine -- in the bathroom and in the parking lot.

O'Neill, 28, and 58-year-old Charles Reynolds were arrested in the McDonald's parking lot.

A law enforcement source told 24-Hour News 8 the sweep was possibly linked to a triple homicide investigation from last month. However, a separate police source has denied that information.

Last month, investigators found the bodies of two men and a woman at the Cedar Ridge Apartments just off 38th Street and German Church Road. So far, no arrests have been made.
