INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police say a woman killed after she was hit by two different cars on the northeast side Thursday night. Police say the driver of one of the cars took off.
Police were called to 82nd Street and Allison Pointe just before 8 p.m. They said a 32-year-old woman was hit by a white Pontiac Gran Prix and, as she lay on the ground, was hit again by another car.
Police said the second driver that hit the woman did not stop. Police do not have a description of the vehicle.
The woman was taken in critical condition to Methodist Hospital where she later died, police say.
Police are not identifying the woman pending notification of her family.
Police said the driver of the Gran Prix stopped to give aid to the woman. They said the driver showed no signs of impairment.
