LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) - Officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a robbery at an Aldi’s Grocery Store around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The robbery happened at the store located at 957 Sagamore Pkwy South.
Police say the suspect entered the store pretending to be a customer. He then demanded money from the register and displayed what appeared to be a handgun, officers say.
An unknown amount of money was taken. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, between 40 – 50 years of age, and wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans.
Later, police responded to the 3100 block of Vinton Street where a Papa John's delivery driver was robbed.
Officers responded to the robbery and learned that a suspect approached a delivery driver's vehicle, demanding money and a pizza. The suspect then fled on foot.
That suspect is described at a white male, wearing dark clothing and a ski mask. No injuries were reported.
