ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) The Adams County Sheriff's Department is investigating several separate attacks on members of the Amish community in the rural Berne area.
The attacks took place on Monday. According to a news release issued by Sheriff Shane Rekeweg, the attackers wore masks to conceal their identities and were last seen driving a light gray or light green station wagon type vehicle similar to a Chevy HHR or PT Cruiser. The vehicle had damage to the driver side rear door and the right side passenger rear quarter panel.
The news release did not indicate how many people were attacked and what kind of injuries, if any they sustained. The news release also did not indicate if the number of attackers was known.
