SULLIVAN, Ind. (WISH) - DNR officers arrested couple camping in a western Indiana park Monday afternoon after finding them in possession of 20 pounds of pot. Officers were originally called to the campsite to split up a fight between the two.
Police arrested 27-year-old Justin Adams and 25-year-old Megan Nelson of Terre Haute.
DNR officers went to the couple's campsite at Sullivan Park and Lake in Sullivan around 3:30 p.m. Monday on a report of a domestic dispute. That's when officers saw a brick of marijuana in plain view along with other items of drug paraphernalia.
Adams and Nelson are facing numerous charges including domestic battery, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and dealing marijuana.
Police say Nelson was found to be wanted on an arrest warrant out of Vigo County for battery by bodily fluids.
