FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - Fishers Police officers have made an arrest following a manhunt early Friday morning .

Officers arrived to a residence on the 12600 block of Republic Drive just before 4 a.m. in response to an argument between a woman and two men, according to a probable cause affidavit.

When officers arrived at the residence they spoke with a woman who said she was arguing with two men when she left the residence in her vehicle. The woman said as she was driving away, one of the men began following her in another vehicle.

Before leaving the neighborhood, the man crashed his car into the woman’s vehicle, police say.

The woman told police that she heard a gunshot after the crash and then saw a man running away.

An officer saw a man running between houses while he was searching the area. After the man refused to follow verbal commands by officers, he disappeared and an extensive search began.

Officers located both men at around 6:30 a.m. Friday.

After meeting with investigators one man was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Oswaldo Medrano Jr., 20, of Indianapolis was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, and resisting law enforcement, an Class A misdemeanor.

He is being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
