INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have made an arrest in a gas station shootout that occurred on Feb. 25.
Deputies responded to a gas station in the 2400 block of North Keystone Avenue.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies witnessed two cars pull into the parking lot of the gas station. The driver of one of the vehicles then fired shots through the vehicle window toward the second car.
The driver of the second vehicle then returned the gunfire, police say.
Both cars fled the scene. Authorities say there were bystanders and a small child in the parking lot when the shootout occurred.
Deputies have arrested Gregory Johnson for his involvement in the incident.
Johnson has been preliminary charged with criminal recklessness, a Class C felony, possession of a handgun without a license, a Class C felony, and resisting arrest, a Class D felony.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the second shooter is asked to call 317-327-TIPS.
Investigators who reviewed surveillance say there do not appear to be any injuries that resulted from the shooting.
