Arson cause of middle school fire
Suspect admitted to crime, taken into custody

MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - The Mooresville Fire Department responded to a fire at the Paul Hadley Middle School just before 2 a.m. Saturday. After extinguishing the flames and conducting an investigation, school officials along with police and fire investigators determined the cause to be arson.
A suspect was questioned, confessed, and was taken to the Morgan County Jail.
Police arrested Matt Skylar, 19.
The school’s camera system provided enough footage to identify Skylar.
Officials say damages to the building will not create a problem for school on Monday. The building will be cleaned over the weekend.
While school will not be interrupted due to damages, any youth leagues or groups who were scheduled to use the PHMS facility before Monday will not be able to do so, school officials say.
