BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (AP) - A Bloomington man has been charged with murder in the death of a Greene County woman whose body was found near a church .

Fifty-two-year old Randy L. Knapp was being held without bond Friday in Monroe County Jail. Prosecutors charged him with murder, criminal confinement and obstruction of justice Friday in Greene Circuit Court. An initial hearing is expected early next week. A jail officer didn't know if Knapp had an attorney.

Knapp is charged in the death of 28-year-old Stacey Lawson of Solsberry, whose body was found Aug. 20 in northeastern Greene County, near the Newark Baptist Church about 15 miles west of Bloomington.

State police say an autopsy revealed that Lawson died from blunt force trauma to her head.
