Carmel assault suspect sketch released

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - Carmel Police Department is seeking the public's help to identify a suspect in an assault reported last week, and they have released a sketch.

The man is accused of assaulting a teen girl in Carmel , near 126th Street and Brookshire Parkway, on the Cool Creek foot bridge. The 15-year-old told police that on June 12 the man came up to her as she was riding her bike, they talked and then he grabbed her chest.

The suspect, seen in the artist's sketch above, is described as a white male, between 35 and 50 years old, 5-foot-9 with a muscular build. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, a blue Under Armour shirt and athletic-style shorts.

Anyone with information should call Carmel PD at 571-2536 or Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS. Crime Stoppers callers can remain anonymous, and information that leads to felony arrest may be eligible for cash reward.
