Cell phone dispute delays Indy flight

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A Southwest Airlines plane had to be taxied back to a gate on Wednesday after airport police said a Colorado man refused to put away his cell phone.
The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. at Indianapolis International Airport, according to a police report.
The plane’s captain told police the man, 45-year-old Alois Vetter, refused requests by crew members to turn off his phone, so he taxied the plane back to a gate. The captain then asked Vetter to get off the plane, and he refused, according to the report.
Vetter was traveling with his daughter on the plane headed to Denver, Colo. He was arrested on a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct. His phone was taken from him and the Department of Child Services took care of his daughter while he was taken into custody.
