EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (WISH) - A tavern in East Chicago was closed Friday after it was cited for nine alcohol-and fire-code violations.
Indiana State Excise Police cited Alexis Hall, 4003 Alder St., East Chicago, after they received a citizen complaint alleging that illegal activities were happening in the bar.
Violations include two counts of allowing minors to loiter, failure to maintain employee records, employing an unlicensed bartender, not meeting food-service requirements, changing floor plan layout without approval, failure to display permit and purchasing alcohol from another retail business.
