BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A Lebanon man has been arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school or daycare.
Steven L. Walker, 42, was arrested by the Hamilton / Boone County Drug Task Force on Wednesday.
Walker was arrested in the 900 block of South East Street. Officers searched that residence and his home, finding remnants of an ongoing methamphetamine manufacturing operation.
Each location was within 1,000 feet of at least two daycare centers in Lebanon.
He faces preliminary charges of manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school or daycare, a Class A felony, possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school or daycare, a Class B felony, possession of precursors within 1,000 feet of a school or daycare, a Class C felony, and reckless possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
Walker was taken to the Boone County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
