HOUSTON (WISH/WHOU) - Police in Houston say an Indiana teenager was the victim of a suspected child predator, exposing the teen to HIV.

24-Hour News 8 has obtained the court documents from Houston . Prosecutors are charging 49-year-old Kevin Sellars with using his body as a deadly weapon against a 15-year-old Indiana boy. Investigators say the man lured the Hoosier teen to Houston last December using MySpace.

Detectives say Kevin Sellars sexually assaulted the teen several times for more than a week last December inside a condo owned by Sellars.

KHOU in Houston reports that, according to the Houston district attorney's office, the boy was then told by Sellars, "I have HIV, you probably do too, have a nice life."

Prosecutors want to send Sellars to prison for life, so they've charged him with using a deadly weapon against the boy.

The DA's office doesn't know yet whether the teen was infected with HIV, but they know Sellars wasn't making an empty threat. According to a spokesman for the district attorney's office, Sellars has tested positive for HIV. He remains in jail.

He is also being charged with possession of child porn. Police say they found that in his possession last week.
