INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana Court of Appeals affirmed the 245-year prison sentence Friday of Ronald Davis, according to an Attorney General release.
Davis pleaded guilty to four counts of murder and other charges in the 2008 Hovey Street murders in Indianapolis.
Davis appealed his sentence but the Court of Appeals rejected his appeal and affirmed the Marion County Superior Court’s decision.
Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller’s office represented the State in the appeal and released a statement.
"The Court of Appeals' decision described this offense - the senseless murders of two mothers and their two young children - as 'among the most heinous in Indiana's history.' The unanimous decision underscores the fact that the county prosecutor and trial court handled this case correctly and the defendant is serving the appropriate sentence, permanently locked away from society," Zoeller said.
