BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) - Most criminals try to avoid the spotlight. But this week two were caught on camera stealing from a Beech Grove business.
The thieves stole from a company that installs security cameras. The pristine images captured on surveillance cameras shows one criminal unloading seven utility vans parked in the company's parking lot.
The owners of Design and Build Electric at 5230 Park Emerson Dr say the estimated cost of replacement and repairs are $25,000 after their tools were swiped.
It only took three seconds for the thieves to pop the locks of the company vans.
They just pop the locks and they can open the door and get in immediately, Jerry Hardin said. They are organized and professional. They know exactly what they are looking for.
The thieves also stole copper wire used in residential homes.
The estimated maximum payout for copper right now is about $3.
After nearly glancing at the surveillance camera, one of the suspects neatly lines up the tools. After ten minutes, help pulled up in a tan Chevy Blazer.
Shortly after 2 a.m., one of the criminals returned to get what he missed Monday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Beech Groove Police.
