CVS robbed of controlled substances

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A $1,000 reward is now being offered for any information that could lead to an arrest for a robbery that occurred at a CVS.

The robbery took play at the CVS Pharmacy located at 5925 E. 71st Street on Wednesday.

Two suspects robbed the pharmacy of a large amount of controlled substances. One man entered through the front door, jumped over the counter with a handgun and demanded controlled substances from the safe.

The second suspect pulled up to the drive-thru window and climbed through.

A victim was forced to fill a bag with controlled substances, which the suspects then took with and fled the scene.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a black mask, brown hoodie and black gloves.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a black mask, all black clothing and gloves, police say.

The reward is being donated by pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).
