INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The president and co-treasurer of a local football league are facing felony charges amidst allegations that they stole money from the organization.
Jason McKinney, president of the Ben Davis Cadent Football Association, and co-treasurer Nicole Roman are both facing the charges, according to court documents. The two are in a relationship and live together.
McKinney and Roman are both facing charges of corrupt business influence, a Class C felony, and four Class D felony charges of theft. McKinney faces additional charges for failure to file a true tax return.
Prosecutors went through banking records for McKinney and Roman and discovered $28,049 they took from the football association without supporting documents explaining the purchase, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Roman and McKinney both have bond hearings scheduled for Friday.
