Driver eludes Columbus police after chase, again

COLUMBUS, Ind. (The Republic) - Police in Columbus have responded to the same sort of incident in just two days involving a driver leading police on a chase and then escaping from the vehicle.
Police say a man led officers on a brief chase and then escaped from his vehicle. This was the second time a suspect had done this in two days, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Republic reports.
During one incident, the driver jumped out of his car, causing the unmanned vehicle to crash into two parked cars.
