Driver of fatal hit and run arrested

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police have arrested the driver of Saturday’s fatal hit and run. Detectives from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Hit and Run Unit located the vehicle and arrested the female driver.
The accident happened early Saturday morning on the 7400 block of N. Shadeland Ave. and killed 23-year-old Alex Trabert.
Detectives located a 2011 black Toyota Camry and arrested the driver, 23-year-old Morgan Mannix, mid-morning Saturday.
Mannix was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital for a blood draw and was later taken to the Arrestee Processing Center.
She faces a preliminary charge of failure to stop after accident causing death.
Police say additional charges are possible.
