INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Saint Vincent Hospital has notified 1800 patients that there personal information may have been assessed by a hacker.
Hospital officials issued letters to those affected once they were aware of what happened.
The hospital says that certain associate e-mail accounts were breached back in November.
That means patient names, dates of service and certain clinical information may have been accessed.
“Our priority is to ensure patients are aware of the available resources to assist during this time. We will continue to make it a priority to improve our processes to protect all patient information,” said Rex McKinney privacy officer at St. Vincent.
Saint Vincent says it has partnered with CS Identity to assist patients.
