MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - Excise Police arrested 16 people Friday night near Ball State University's campus and 36 near Indiana University.
According to police, thirteen people were arrested near Ball State for illegal possession or transportation of alcohol and traffic citations. Additionally, two adults were arrested for providing alcohol to minors.
Police say one man was arrested on five different charges including illegal possession of alcohol, marijuana, possession of a fake ID, and fleeing from the police. According to a release from the Indiana Excise Police, Cody Fellers, 20, previously had a run-in with Excise Police in Bloomington earlier this year and failed to appear in Marion County court.
Police say 36 people were arrested in Bloomington yesterday for illegal alcohol consumption during a tailgating party. A 19-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after blowing a .275% on a BAC test.
Police also say eight people were arrested at Wabash College for illegal possession and consumption of alcohol while tailgating.
