EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A Chicago man faces a preliminary charge of counterfeiting after allegedly trying to swap three fake $20 bills for 60 $1 bills at an Evansville strip club.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports 25-year-old Damien P. Parrish was arrested early Wednesday after a manager at the Lucky Lady club alerted police. Officers say four of the seven counterfeit bills that he came into the club with had the same serial number.
He was being held on $1,000 bond at the Vanderburgh County Jail, where records didn't indicate whether he had an attorney. He faced a Monday court appearance.
Strip club patrons routinely tip dancers with $1 bills.
