CHEROKEE, N.C. (The Shelbyville News) - The family of a 76-year-old Shelbyville woman who was murdered in North Carolina is offering an increased reward for information that could lead to an arrest and conviction, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Shelbyville News reports.
Barbara E. Preidt was shot and killed in Cherokee, N.C. after a suspect grabbed her purse outside of a hotel.
Cherokee Indian Police Department officers say a reward of $25,000 is now being offered for information on Preidt’s death – up to $5,000 offered by CIPD and up to $20,000 offered by Preidt’s family.
