RUSHVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A traffic stop lead to drug charges for a Rushville firefighter.
Andrew S. Connolly, 48, was stopped for an expired license plate in Rushville earlier this month. Officers later took Connolly into custody on charges of illegal possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a family apartment. He was taken to the Rush county Jail.
At the time of his arrest, Connolly was on "a prior scheduled vacation." Connolly has worked as a Rushville firefighter for more than 20 years, our partners at the Rushville Republican report.
Since his arrest, Connolly has resigned from the Rushville Fire Department.
