MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Attorneys and a Morgan County judge reached a plea agreement Monday in a case against a former jail corrections officer.
24-Hours News 8 news partner The Reporter-Times reports Nicholas Tankersley, 21, has agreed to plead guilty to one count of official misconduct Monday. In return, the other two charges will be dismissed.
Tankersley was charged last year with sexual battery, theft and battery after several female inmates made accusations that Tankersley gave them special treatment for sexual experiences.
A pre-sentence investigation and sentencing is set for 11:30 a.m. March 25 in Morgan County Superior Court 3. The offense is a Class D felony, and Tankersley could face up to the years incarceration.
Tankersley was terminated from his employment upon the investigation. He is being held in the Johnson County Jail.
