ANDERSON, Ind. (The Herald Bulletin) - A woman was arrested Monday after police officials said she threw a hammer at Anderson Police Department, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
Holli Helms, 33, wouldn’t tell police why she threw the hammer that shattered glass on a door to the police department, spokesman Detective Joel Sandefur said.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. Monday. One officer witnessed the act while another tracked her down after she drove away. She was pulled over near Broadway and North streets.
Helms was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement, a Class D felony.
