INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A 12-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after police found him carrying a gun at school, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center, a Wayne Township schools facility.

It wasn’t clear how the weapon was discovered. The boy faces preliminary charges of possession of a firearm on school property, and no license for a handgun.
