INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis father is facing six felony charges after telling police he beat his 6-month-old son, according to a police report.
The baby boy was treated at a local hospital in June. Doctors found rib fractures, a clavicle fracture and other bruising to the child, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report.
Officers interviewed the boy’s parents this month, and 19-year-old Evan Ryan Ward said he caused his son’s injuries on at least two different occasions, the report said.
Ward was arrested on three preliminary charges of battery and three preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent.
