IMPD: Man, 57, had sexual contact with girl, 14

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - You could hear the shakiness in his voice. The upset father retold the story on how he discovered his 14-year-old daughter was having a sexual relationship with 57-year-old Francisco Alcala.

We decided not to publish the father’s name so we don’t identify his daughter. The dad says it started when he spotted a suspicious cell phone in the house. He scrolled through a series of text messages. The messages were sexual in nature.

He asked his daughter about the phone, and she admitted it was hers. She also told her dad that the person sending the sexual text messages was Alcala and that she’s engaged in a sexual relationship with him.

“I ringed the door bell two or three times and he didn’t answer the door,” said the dad.

The dad called police. Investigators launched an investigation which ended with Alcala being jailed.

The 57-year-old is currently preliminarily charged with three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of child molestation.

During a phone conversation the dad of the victim says his daughter went to Alcala’s home often to play with his daughter. He never thought Alcala would take advantage of that situation.

“You can’t trust anyone, even if someone has kids,” said the father. “You can’t trust anyone.”
