INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A truck load of stolen guns landed an Indianapolis man behind bars Thursday.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police say 51-year-old Gary Williams was stealing the firearms from a local gun store over a four year period.
The 500 stolen weapons, valued around $2 million, were recovered along with 30,000 rounds of ammunition and $100,000 in cash Thursday when the IMPD Violent Crimes Unit served a search warrant in the 9400 block of Jill Court.
Police declined to name the gun store that Williams allegedly victimized saying that the investigation was still underway.
Williams was preliminarily charged with theft. He was booked into the Marion County Jail.
