INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A woman whose neighbor said she stabbed him with a pin while saying, “die, devil, die” was arrested by police Saturday night.
The woman, 59-year-old Beatrice Davis, walked toward an officer with two silver objects she held in the shape of a cross, according to a police report. While walking toward the officer, she said, “Annihilate the devil with a silver cross.”
Fearing for his safety, the officer used a stun gun on Davis, who was taken into custody. After detaining her, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers had difficulty keeping Davis under control. She kicked one officer in the chest and another in the genitals, prompting them to use a stun gun on her again, according to the report.
Officers were initially called to the 4400 block of Indianola Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Saturday after a neighbor said Davis knocked on his door. When he answered, he said she stabbed him in the arm with a pin, though he wasn’t sure why.
Davis was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary, battery with injury, battery on a police officer, criminal recklessness and resisting law enforcement.
