INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The mother of the man convicted of killing five people in Laurel last September has been indicted on charges that she supplied him a weapon, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner, The Batesville Herald Times , reports.
Berlina Richardson, 64, was indicted by a federal grand jury on two firearms charges. Her son, Davis Ison, was convicted of murdering five people in Lauren in September 2011.
The charges outline that Richardson bought the rifle at Ison’s request. He gave her the money for it. However, officials don’t believe the weapon she bought Ison was used in the Laurel murders.
Richardson faces a maximum of 10 years on each charge plus a $250,000 fine if she’s convicted.
