INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Court documents in a case against an Indiana State Police officer were released Monday.

The document, which is 15 pages in length, states that First-sergeant Rick Reed faces six felony counts of forgery.

Police say the 53-year-old from Westfield is accused of forging purchase price information on vehicle titles, which resulted in lower sales tax payments.

According to court documents, in one case, the selling price was $16,000 when the actually selling price was $35,000. There were other incidents similar to this one as well.

Reed was arrested on Friday and now faces six counts of forgery, which is a Class C felony.

He has been placed on unpaid administrative leave and his police powers have been suspended until the completion of his trial. No court date has been set.
