LADOGA, Ind. (WISH) - Indiana State Police are seeking the public’s help in the investigation into the shooting death of a 94-year-old man in Montgomery County.
Samuel Kessler, 94, was found dead Jan. 29 in his home, at 8737 E. Ind. 234, Ladoga. The next day, the Montgomery County coroner ruled that Kessler, a former county commissioner, died of a gunshot wound, and classified his death as a homicide .
Investigators believe Kessler was killed sometime between 7 p.m. and midnight Jan. 28. They are seeking information on a dark-colored full-size pickup truck allegedly seen in Kessler’s driveway during the early to mid-evening hours that day, a Saturday.
