INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana State Police arrested seven people at an east side Indianapolis hotel Wednesday night, who they say had stolen a large haul of merchandise.

While patrolling I-465, officers noticed aerial fireworks being used near US 40 on the eastside and began an investigation.

Police located several suspects using the fireworks in Best Western Hotel near I-465 and Washington Street.

While questioning the suspects, police became suspicious of the suspects inconsistent stories of why they were there and decided to further investigate.

ISP found numerous stolen loot, including three stolen cars, 50 stolen iPads and iPods, $3,000 worth of fireworks, and over 200 fraudulent gift cards.

Troopers also uncovered new tennis shoes and electronics, including new iPhones in the two Cadillac Escalades and Dodge van that the group was traveling in, police said.

Detectives believe the fraudulent gift cards were being used to purchase the items, which they think were going to the east coast for resale.

The following individuals were arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail:

  1. JohnDavid T. Bunche, 30, Bronx NY
  2. Biancia L. Galloway, 20, Wyandanch, NY
  3. Deon W. Crenshaw, 34, Dramoon, FL
  4. Devon K.Robinson, 30, Allentown, PA
  5. Brandi A. Baxter, 27, Valrico FL
  6. Kenya M. Robinson, 25, NY
  7. Ryan W. Figueiredo, 30, Cambria, FL

Each person was charged with one count of fraud, a Class D Felony, according to police.
