INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A jury on Wednesday found an Indianapolis man guilty of murdering his wife.

Police said Kenneth Schaefer, 56, stabbed his wife, Bobbie, 41, in a home in the 1200 block of Evison Street on May 1, 2011.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found Kenneth also suffering stab wounds, and he was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital. His wife, to whom he had been married for 23 years, was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile female also suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound.

Kenneth Schaefer was also found guilty of battery. His sentencing is set for May 18.
