INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A jury has found Paul Reese Sr. guilty in a 26-year-old murder case.
Court officials said the jury deliberated for less than two hours before rendering its verdict. The trial began Monday in the 1986 murder of 13-year-old Dawn Stuard.
Reese and his son were arrested shortly after the girl was found strangled to death, but the case fell apart and never went to trial. Last year, however, retested DNA evidence proved blood found in Reese's basement belonged to the teen, police said.
His sentencing has been set for July 18.
