LINTON, Ind. (WISH) - Two Linton men have been charged in connection to a boating violation.
Kent “Opie” Wall, 50, was charged Friday with intimidation, a Class D felony, and Brett W. Kramer, 52, was charged with criminal trespass, a Class A misdemeanor, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
On July 9, Indiana Conservation Officers were called to Richard Lake in Greene/Sullivan State Forest in response to an ongoing complaint of a personal watercraft being operated on the public area of the lake, according to a release.
Kramer was issued a class C infraction citation for “permitting unlawful operation”. The citation was issued to allegedly allowing a 13-year-old boy to operate a personal watercraft on state waters. This was one of several other boating violations, DNR says.
Both law enforcement and a neighboring landowner had warned both Kramer and Wall on several occasions not to trespass the privately owned portion of the lake.
Kramer was arrested from criminal trespass on July 9 and taken to the Greene County Jail by Indiana Conservation officers.
Wall was also charged for intimidation because of verbal threats allegedly made to law enforcement and private citizens.
