BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff and Lebanon City Police made an arrest Tuesday for two armed robberies that recently occurred in Boone County.

A Marathon gas station located off of I-65 and SR 334 in Zionsville was robbed by a white male displaying a handgun on Saturday.

The man fled the scene in a light-colored vehicle.

On Monday, the Holiday Inn Express located near I-65 and SR 32 in Lebanon was also robbed by a white male displaying a handgun.

Anthony E. Herold, 43, was detained by police. He admitted to the robberies and said he was recently fired from his job.

He is currently being held at the Tippecanoe County Jail on local charges. Police say he will be charged in the other counties early next week.
