LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police arrested a man they believe recently robbed two businesses and it's all thanks to information from the public.
Officers attempted to stop a car driven by Anthony Herald, 43, on South Street Tuesday afternoon, our sister station WLFI reports.
Investigators had gotten a tip that Herald may have been behind an armed robbery at Gas America on Nov. 15 and at Aldi grocery store on Nov. 18.
After a short foot pursuit, police took Herald into custody on preliminary charges of robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
Police said Herald is also wanted on an outstanding warrant in Morgan County.
