COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) - Police say a Columbus man attacked another man, playing a harmonica, with a hammer Thursday.

Our partners at the Republic report 45-year-old Timothy Lamont Parker struck the harmonica-playing man in the hand with a hammer. The victim stopped playing and began to chase Parker, whom he knew.

The victim later developed a golf-ball sized welt on his hand. He refused medical treatment.

Police found Parker hiding behind a car. He was arrested and faced felony charges of battery . He is being held at the Bartholomew County Jail.

Police say Parker was carrying two claw hammers in his pants at the time of his arrest.
